As an Oregon native, Stephanie Antoinette Horace completed her BS in Community Health Education at Portland State University. Her background includes working in women's health clinics, in health education, and with families affected by childhood disabilities and illnesses. She is passionate about supporting women and families through transformative life events.
Once introduced to the importance of the doula by Peggy Vincent in Baby Catcher: Birth Chronicles of a Modern Day Midwife, Stephanie began her training as a doula through a Birth Doula Workshop supported by DONA, Doulas of North America. This experience opened her eyes to the world of birth-work, and she knew that she had found her home. Other training and workshops quickly followed including childbirth/postnatal educator training, postpartum doula training and wellness coach training.
"I feel deeply privileged to call myself an educator, doula and coach. I enjoy being there for women and their families as they journey through pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood. It is an honor to witness this process, and to be present as a new life is welcomed into the world. I am thrilled to be part of this wonderful birthing and wellness community and look forward to being of service to you and your family."
Blessings,
Stephanie Antoinette Horace
